From 1 June 2026, new password rules will apply to your user account for the University Library of Potsdam.
This measure is intended to improve the security of your personal data.
This means that if, from 1 June 2026, you log in with a password that does not meet the requirements listed below, our system will prompt you to change your password. If your password already meets the requirements, you do not need to make any changes.
How to create a secure password:
You can change your password in your user account under ‘Password’. It must meet the following criteria:
• between 10 and 20 characters long,
• contains small and capital letters,
• at least one number and
• one of the following special characters: - + _ ; : ? ! % &
This measure does not apply to the interlibrary loan account.
